Which is why I started this page about composting toilets / dry toilets....

It's nice that you are here.

I created this page because there are a few more who are concerned about this topic.

Like you, I am fed up with all the chemical crap that is on offer.

Especially when it comes to toilets for temporary applications.

But this article will also deal with garden and boat applications.

But first, let's get to my story 😉 I'm not sure what I'm talking about.

My initial situation before the composting toilet

I myself drive a motorhome and that was also the introduction to the composting toilet for me.

Always use the chemical mace to fight odours. But the stuff doesn't really smell that good either.

And then there's the issue of disposal... Especially when you're travelling in areas where the disposal infrastructure doesn't really accommodate a chemical toilet.

At first we switched to SOG. The big advantage of this was that we no longer had the smell of chemical toilets in the vehicle. A good first step.

But now there was still the emptying to do. 20 litres of mixed water .... (I hope you're not having breakfast right now 😉 )

Since the three of us used the toilet regularly while travelling, it was time to empty it after 24 hours. A time I like to miss.

In order to stay longer in nice places, there was a 2nd and 3rd cassette. Disposing of it later was not really more pleasant (3x20L) ...

The search for toilet alternatives

So I started looking for alternatives. Through forums etc., I became aware of the dry composting toilet. And since I'm interested in technology and open to many new things, I read up on the subject...

And as you can imagine or know from your own experiences, there are many, many opinions.

That is not exaggerated. Often, of course, from hearsay...

What I also noticed is that there are only a handful of people who really know about it. And they sell their own product, which is of course always the best.

(I will gradually introduce the various manufacturers and their products here in the blog. Among them also do-it-yourself projects - look forward to that).

The idea I am pursuing

My aim with this page is to collect as much information as possible on the market about composting toilets, dry composting toilets (TTT) and composting toilets and to make it available to you.

Now some of you will ask why I have also included a shop....

It's simple: I want to summarise everything here in one place.

And: I am currently working on my own composting toilet for "mobile applications".

Of course I want to offer this somewhere. A simple shop is the best way to do this.

However, since some of you surely prefer other systems, I don't want to withhold them from you here. After all, each of the composting toilets offered on the market has its advantages and its purpose.

By the way, I'm doing this as a sideline...
